The Cocoa Bridge Community Release Center
The Cocoa Bridge Community Release Center gives male inmates an opportunity to get their lives back on track. The foundation of the program is the Therapeutic Community Concepts, which are essential to maintaining a drug-free lifestyle in social contexts. With clinical supervision, this peer-led, peer-driven environment encourages the men to become active participants in their recovery.
We would like to establish additional partnerships in the services area of family development and parenting classes to give our inmates/clients more tools to help them bridge the gap as they re-enter society. Many of them want to change, but need assistance building the resources and tools to help them accomplish it. Without caring and interested people, it is difficult to achieve this.
If you are interested, or know someone that may be interested, in volunteering to lead a program in family services or parenting classes, please contact Tina Daft, Assistant Facility Director. Her information is located below.

Currently, my husband and I volunteer at The Bridge leading Anger Management classes. I can say that this has been a very fulfilling experience in helping me develop new skills, make a difference in the lives of other, in addition to, a time of bonding watching these men open up, and make progress in making changes to their lives. If this is something that you have previously considered, I invite you to take this opportunity and experience the benefits of volunteering.
